Kogi Deputy Governor Urge Newlyweds to Prioritize God for Prosperous Union

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Salifu, has advised newly married couples to prioritize God as the cornerstone of their unions in order to cultivate a harmonious and prosperous household.

Deputy Governor Joel Salifu, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Eleojo Salifu, offered words of wisdom on Saturday at the traditional engagement ceremony of his nephew, Isaiah Ugbede Salifu, and his bride in Ofejiji Ochadamu, Ofu Local Government Area.

Salifu emphasized that while weddings are joyful, a strong marriage is more valuable than any material possession. To achieve this, he encouraged the couple to establish a deep connection with God, making Him the primary foundation and anchor of their marital bond

The Deputy Governor also advised the couple to engage in heartfelt prayers for guidance and strength in order to overcome forces against marriage.

He also stressed that the couples should treat each other with kindness, respect, and compassion

He prayed for God’s blessings upon the union and requested divine guidance as they begin their life together

As the Deputy Governor, Salifu has shown commitment to serving the people of Kogi State, he also emphasized that the government exists for the benefit of its citizens.
