Kogi Deputy Gov Commiserate With Ikani Okolo Over Mum’s Death

The deputy governor of kogi state Elder Simon Achuba has commiserated with Honourable Benjamin Ikani Okolo over the death of his mother, late Mrs Roseline Aladi Okolo.

He described the late Mrs Okolo as ‘someone who lived for others and recalled “that the deceased was noted for her hospitality and commitment to Christian activities.

In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the deputy governor, Akor Sylvester, the Deputy Governor condoled with the children of the deceased, urging them to emulate the good steps of their mother.

The deputy governor also called on the entire family of the late Mrs Okolo to hold on to their God and serve Him in totality, maintaining that there is life after death.

He prayed God to grant the departed soul eternal rest.

Earlier in his address at the funeral mass, the Catholic Bishop of Idah Dioceses, Most Rev Anthony Adamu Adaji blamed the underdevelopment of Igala land on the poor management of funds and resources by the past leadership of the state.

He appealed to the present administration of the state led by governor Yahaya Bello to better the lots of the people even as he said that the government has started on a good note.

Present at the funeral mass were some National Assembly members, royal fathers, clergy men, commissioner for Youth and sports, Aromeh Adoji, commissioner for transportation, Sani Salisu Ogu and others.
