  • GM describes Governor Ododo as an uncommon rural developer.

Staff of Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency (KGCSDA) on Monday organized a mini-reception to welcome their General Manager, Chief Dauda Momoh, who has been far away in the Holy land of Saudi Arabia to fulfill one of the pillars of Islam.

The Operations Manager, Engr. Bayode Oladipo, who spoke on behalf of the staff, expressed happiness and gratitude to God Almighty for journey mercy, stressing the eagerness of the entire staff to receive from the General Manager the blessings of Allah SWT that follows him home from the holy land.

In appreciation, the General Manager who cannot hide his feelings seeing his staff together in unison; said, “from the moment the administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello saddled me with the leadership responsibility of Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency (KGCSDA), I knew it would be daunting. I knew, because to provide social and basic amenities for rural communities across the 21 local government areas of the state, each with their individual idiosyncrasies and expectations is not a casual business, but I obliged.

“I obliged because I knew that the Almighty God would not leave me without a strong support system to ease the job. For some weeks I left the office for the pilgrimage under the supervision of well-motivated and dedicated management and staff that are always eager to discharge their individual responsibilities, and the office wasn’t found wanton, close or lacking in its responsibilities while I was away. Therefore, I want to say I am proud of you all.

“Hajj is one pillars of Islam that every Muslim should pray to perform in his/her lifetime because, there are certain things in life that an individual can achieve only during hajj pilgrimage. For example, seeing Ka’bah alone is worship. Performing Tawaf around Ka’bah is worship. Praying in Masjid ul-Haraam is worship. Arafat is an arena for speaking to God. Mash’ar is an arena for paying attention to God. The same is true of Mina. Anybody who is opportune to perform Hajj is expected to make use of each and every one of these elements to cleanse their hearts, to improve their spiritual status and to take provisions for the rest of their lives,” he said.

The General Manager who prayed for all the staff and Muslim across the board, also prayed for and appreciated the Executive Governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo for his unshaken affinity for rural dwellers, describing him as an uncommon rural developer and game changer.

In the same breath, he appreciated the motherhood and unprecedented roles of the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. (Mrs.) Folashade Arike Ayoade in Kogi State, stressing that her kind of mother is rare in today’s contemporary politics. He also appreciated the Commissioner of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Hon. Mukadam, Asiwaju Asiru Idris for being generous and true to the feelings of the vulnerable and the less privileged people in the state.

He extended his appreciation to the NG-CARES family in the state and the benefitting communities of the NG-CARES program.

However, he showed optimism and called for patience, saying that with Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on the saddle, the good people of Kogi state can only continue to experience better days and unwavering security.
