Council chairmen in Kogi State central senatorial district have condemned the increasing wave of kidnapping in the area.
After a meeting in Okene, chaired by the Chairman of Ajaokuta Local Government Area, Aloysius Okino, the group promised to work for peace.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting, the chairman of Okene Local Government Area, Ahmed Ogembe, said they have resolved to continue to provide logistic support to security agents to enable them carry out their duties efficiently, while calling on them to intensify efforts to rescue the speaker’s children who were kidnapped about two weeks ago.
