The people of Ajaokuta local government area of Kogi State has declared total support for all the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming general elections.

The people made their position know on Saturday when the senator representing Kogi central senatorial district, Ahmed Ogembe in company of the House Representative candidate, Honorable Aloysius and the House of Assembly candidate, Alh Mohammed Haruna visited the area.

While in Geregu, Senator Ogembe commissioned rural electrification project with 500Kva transformer he facilitated to cushion the challenges of electricity supply in the area.

The obviously elated people of Geregu thanked the senator and promised to vote for candidates of the PDP from presidential to House of Assembly as a thank  you gesture to the senator.

The convoy of Senator Ogembe also stopped over at Ganaja village where he inspected the extension of water reticulation from greater Lokoja water project to the area which was stopped by the state government.

The project which was 80% completed was stopped by Kogi State government for political reasons. The state government has promised the people of the area to do the project but failed to fulfill their promise. The people therefore vowed to vote PDP at all level to ensure that the unfortunate situation where state government will used their apparatus to stop projects that will be beneficial to the people will not happen again.

Mr. Idris, a resident of the area noted that that politics is about development regardless of the party in power.

“It was the Alh. Ibrahim Idris led PDP government that initiated the project and therefore see no reason why the current administration will stop good things coming to Ganaja village,” he said.

Senator Ogembe therefore thanked the people for coming out to support PDP.

He assured the people that PDP will bring back the good old days and all the suffering will be a thing of the past if they all come out to vote for PDP at all level and defend their votes.
