The leaders of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kogi Central senatorial district has petitioned the Police over alleged unlawful unveiling of the party in the area without recourse to the leaders.
In a petition signed by Mrs. Mary Moru and Mr. Gomina M. I. Sule, Vice Zonal Chairperson (Central) and Deputy Chairman respectively, the ADC chieftains alleged that some “unscrupulous elements” within the Kogi state chapter of the party are on the verge of carrying out a political unveiling of the party in the Kogi Central senatorial district without the consent, direction and authorization of the entire leadership in flagrant violation of the party’s constitution.
They raised alarm that the move will directly result in a breakdown of law and order and the breach of the existing peaceful political atmosphere in Kogi State.
The party leaders called on law enforcement agencies to take urgent and necessary steps to ensure that such unlawful unveiling does not take place as scheduled on the 19th day of October 2025 at 12:00 Noon at Afims Hotels, Obehira Road, Okene, Kogi State.

LETTER OF PROTEST AGAINST THE UNLAWFUL UNVEILING OF THE AFRICAN DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS, KOGI CENTRAL SENATORIAL DISTRICT CHAPTER
We refer to the above subject matter. We are the duly elected Deputy State Chairman and Vice Zonal Chairperson of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kogi State Chapter.
We write this letter on behalf of the entire ADC Kogi State Executive and Local Government Executive Committee Members within the Kogi Central Senatorial District.
We wish to bring to your attention the actions of certain members of ADC within Kogi State, which will directly result in a breakdown of law and order and the breach of the existing peaceful political atmosphere in Kogi State.
We have been reliably informed that some unscrupulous element within the Kogi State Chapter of our Great Party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) are on the verge of carrying out a political unveiling of the party in the Kogi Central Senatorial District without the consent, direction and authorization of the entire leadership of the Kogi Central Senatorial District of the party in flagrant violation of the Constitution of the party.
While we intend to identify these recalcitrant members of the party and carry out effective disciplinary actions against them as stipulated in the Constitution of our Great Party, we also request that as the law enforcement agency in the country, you use your good office to take urgent and necessary steps to ensure that such unlawful unveiling does not take place as scheduled on the 19th day of October 2025 at 12:00 Noon at Afims Hotels, Obehira Road, Okene, Kogi State, in the ultimate bid of safeguarding the
lives and properties of the citizens of Kogi State.
