The leaders of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kogi Central senatorial district has denounced the recent unveiling of the party by some group of politicians in the area.
The Zonal Chairperson Kogi Central, Mrs. Mary Moru, in a statement on Wednesday, said such act is illegal and unacceptable by the party.
She described the group at the unveiling as “instruments of opposition designed to disorganise the African Democratic Congress in Kogi Central”.
Moru added that the “leader of the disgruntled group, Senator Ahmed Ogembe, is still an active member of People Democratic Party (PDP).”
“How can someone who intends to decamp be playing the role of unveiling the party without structures,” she asked.
Mrs. Mary Moru also disclosed that no executive members of the African Democratic Congress, both at the State, Local Government, and ward level attended the illegal unveiling that took place on Sunday at Afims Hotel in Okene LGA.
She assured the general public that the authentic date for the unveiling of the African Democratic Congress party structures in Kogi Central will be communicated to the entire public soonest, when the State and the Local Government Executive has resolved to do so.
The Deputy Chairman of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mr. Gomina M.J Sule said the party structures cannot be unveiled without their consent and views.
He noted that those that gathered recently in Afims Hotel are members of Peoples Democratic Party.
