Kogi Central 2019: G-KEN Endorses Alh. Khalifa Okene for Senate

The G20 Khalifa Engine Network (G-KEN) has endorsed Alhaji Khalifa Okene as the next senator to represent Kogi Central.
In a paper presentation, the President of the group, Prince Suleiman Adinoyi said their decision to work with Khalifa as the preferred candidate among other aspirants from the area was hinged on his giant humanitarian acts to the people of Kogi Central and his warm relationship with the New Direction government.
 
The group appealed other aspirants to step down for Khalifa, who they described as the only contender that would deliver without any interference come 2019.
 
According to the group, the endorsement of Alh. Khalifa is to send a clear message to the electorates in Kogi Central that the people are tired of stagnant leadership of those not ready to allow the political evolution and democracy to prevail.
 
“Our support given to Alh. Khalifa Abdulrahman Okene was due to his recognition and contributions to the socio- economy development of Kogi Central through his foundation, Khalif Cares Foundation and his cordial relationship with the New Direction government.
 
“It’s our believe that the entire people of Kogi Central deserves the most treasured personality, active and get-up-and-go person with ideas and vision to represent them at the red chamber, so throwing our weight behind Alh. Khalifa is in affirmation that he will work with the agreement of effective representation and not self-centered leadership as we always had in the past,” the group said.
 
In his response, Alh. Khalifa expressed appreciation to G-KEN for their conviction and support. He pledged to justify the confidence reposed in him.
He said: “Being a Senator is not a do or die affair. In a contest, you either win or you lose. When you win, you lead and when you lose, you guide”
He urged the group to remain unwavering and fight with all instrumentality that enclave peace and tranquillity. 
 
The G-KEN is an assemblage of stakeholders from the five local government areas that makes up Kogi Central senatorial district. 20 key personalities serve as grand masters that set structures across the local governments down to ward levels in Kogi Central.
G-KEN has assured an unflinching support in the quest that will bring Alh. Khalifa Okene to the Red Carpet Chamber comes 2019.
