Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi local government area of Kogi State has heaped encomiums on chairman of APC reconciliation committee and the Galadima of Egu kingdom, Hon. Saidu Akawu Salihu for his unflinching support and loyalty to the party, especially during the recently concluded bye- election.
Led by its chairman, Alhaji Umaru Ibrahim Koto, the leaders commended Akawu for his laudable roles in the just concluded bye election.
Umaru, speaking on behalf of the party members and stakeholders from Kogi Local Government, made this known during a chat with journalists in Lokoja on Monday.
He stated that the APC, under Akawu, has been very supportive of the candidature of Hon. Haruna Isah, which according to him, was further demonstrated during the Saturday election.
“Hon Saidu Akawu’s contributions during last Saturday bye election deserve commendations. The man gave all that he has before and during the Saturday election, he contributed immensely to the victory of the party in Kogi local government.
“As you can see we are all happy. We want to use this medium to congratulate the House of Representatives member-elect, Hon. Haruna Isah and our leader, Hon. Saidu Akawu Salihu over the landslide victory recorded by our great party. We want to assure His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello of our unalloyed support, come 2019 we would deliver,” he stated.
