The Academic Staff Union of Secondary School (ASUSS) has urged the Kogi State government to give a final approval for the recruitment of more teachers in the secondary schools across the state.
The Kogi State Chairman of ASUSS, Comrade Matthew Ranti Ojo made the reminder in Lokoja.
Comrade Ojo said the recruitment of more teachers in secondary schools will further enhance the determination of the present administration to revive the sector as most schools lack the required number of teachers to perform optimal.
He appealed to the government to also consider those affected by the last screening conducted in the state to complement measures being put in place to revive the sector.
The ASUSS boss called on all secondary schools teachers in the state to remain supportive of the government policies and be committed to giving issues affecting their welfare top priority to enhance productivity.
