Members of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lokoja has been called upon to support Hon Alfa Imam in discharge of his duties as Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly. The called was made by Lokoja APC Unity Forum.
Speaking at a press briefing in Lokoja, Chairman of the forum, Hon Abubakar Muhammed, explained that the call has become necessary in view of the current situation facing the legislative arm.
He warned the embattled speaker to desist from act capable of truncating the nascent democracy. “We want to use this medium to advise the former speaker, Hon Momoh Jimoh Lawal, to obey the will of the Honourable members who elected Umar Imam as the new speaker”, he said.
The press briefing was attended by executive members of the forum, Lokoja local government council leader and some serving councillors.
