The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf has congratulated the newly elected member of the Assembly for Okura State Constituency, Hon Hassan Shado on his victory at Saturday’s by-election.
Rt Hon Umar stated this in a press statement signed and made available to the media by his Chief Press Secretary, Yabagi Mohammed.
He described the victory as a testament to the fact that the APC is doing well in the state and the commitment of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to making the party more attractive to the entire state.
The Speaker noted that Hon Shado had demonstrated his humility and determination to the ideals of the ruling party, stressing that he would be a good addition to the ruling party in the state legislature.
Rt Hon Umar, who said the members are equally excited to have a likemind to join them, noted that he is coming to build on the records of Late Rt Hon Enema Paul.
He thanked the people of Okura State Constituency for their support for the party and assured them that the party would not disappoint them.
He further assured the newly elected lawmaker that as a house, members of the Assembly are eagerly anticipating the robustness and brilliant ideas he would bring to debates and the entire lawmaking process in the Assembly.
