The Chairman, Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission, Alhaji Andas Abdulmalik has called on the staff of Kogi State House of Assembly to show more commitment in delivery qualitative service to the state.
Alhaji Andas made the call while addressing the staff of the Assembly at the Assembly Complex, Lokoja in readiness of the Commission total absorption from their various MDAs.
The Chairman revealed that necessary measures and checks have been put in place by the Commission to curb absenteeism and truancy amongst staff in order to enhance their efficiency and productivity.
Alhaji Andas enjoined them to show more dedication and be selfless in the discharge of their duties pointing out that the Commission will not tolerate lukewarm and lackadaisical attitude to work and urged them to change their current attitude to work.
According to him, as public officers, they are expected to give unalloyed support to the State Government Agenda and collectively strive to actualise the set goals of the state government.
Alhaji Andas congratulated the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja on their re- election. He thanked members of Staff for their support in ensuring the victory of the State Governor at the just concluded governorship election and prayed God to endow him with God wisdom and wished him a more successful second term in office.
He charged the staff not to relent in their prayers for the leadership of the state at all levels.
In her remark,the Secretary, Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission, Comrade Yemisi Maiye reiterated the commitment of the Commission to improve the welfare and well being of the staff of the Assembly assuring them that all issues raised concerning their promotion will be addressed.
