The Peoples Democratic Party National Youth Frontier, PDPNYF, has warned the Governor Yahaya Bello-led executive in Kogi State to against meddling in the affairs of the State Assembly.
National Coordinator of PDPNYF, Comrade Austin Usman Okai gave the warning in a statement made available to Kogireports today.
The youth group also cautioned PDP legislators in the State House of Assembly on the implication of double speaking ahead of the House of the assembly leadership contest.
“Rule of law and separation of powers must have it place in Kogi state and on no account should the executive arm be allowed to encroach upon the powers of the Legislature in Kogi state”, the statement reads.
“The Assembly members must be allowed to carry out their duties without interference”
The group frowned at the allegation of executive-inducement of PDP Assembly members ahead of tomorrow’s planned House leadership contest, advising members against selling their right for plate porridge. The group urge assembly members to remember that they were elected and their constituents are watching every of their moves.
