Kogi State House of Assembly has screened and cleared nominees for appointment to head government agencies.
Hon. Abdulraheem Ohiare, Abdulrazaq Mohammed and Sule Saliu Enehe were cleared for appointments as executive chairmen of Kogi State Security Trust Fund, Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS) respectively.
The three nominees were nominated for appointments by Governor Yahaya Bello.
The Assembly ratified their nomination on the floor of the House at Tuesday plenary after their screening where they fielded questions from the legislators at the Committee of the Whole House.
The Speaker of the House, Rt Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf in his ruling on resumption from the Committee of the Whole, approved their nomination following voice votes in their favour.
He charged the nominees to work hard and bring their wealth of experience to bear in their areas of assignments.
The nominees in their separate remarks after the screening promised to justify the confidence reposed in them and thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for finding them worthy to serve in their various capacities.
