Kogi APC Primary: Aspirant Walks Out of Venue Alleges Irregularities

One of the governorship aspirants on the platform of  All Progressive Congress (APC) primary in  Kogi state, Hassan Abdullahi  Baiwa has staged a walkout from the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja venue of the primary election, alleging that the primary has been compromised.

Baiwa, House of Representatives member representing Dekina /Bassa Federal Constituency, said that he could not cope with the level of manipulation going on at the venue.

Baiwa said that he was taken aback when it was alleged that nearly all delegates are illiterates who cannot read or write, hence officials were issuing them with already customised ballot papers with Governor Bello’s name on them.

He said that all efforts to complain to officials fell on deaf ears while the security officials present chased him away.

On what is next line of action, Hassan Baiwa said he had started consultation with his supporters and would communicate his decisions in due course.
