Kogi APC Gets New Interim Committee

The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday inaugurated an interim management committee for its Kogi chapter.

The inauguration, which took place in Lokoja, was presided over by a national ex-officio member of the party, Jack Alampat, who represented the North Central Interim National Vice Chairman, retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulahi Aboki.

Members of the committee were elected by 30 delegates selected from the 21 local government councils in the state.

At the end of the election, Alhaji Hadi Ameto, the state Chairman of the defunct ACN, emerged the Chairman while Yahaya Alfa was elected as Secretary.

A former CPC governorship aspirant, Idris Maiyanga, was elected Publicity Secretary; Chief Gbenga Asagun, Treasurer; Mohammed Nuhu, Organising Secretary; Mrs Agnes Momoh, Women Leader and Emmanuel Jimoh, Youth Leader.

However, a former governor of the state, Alhaji Abubakar Audu, Sen. Attai Idoko, Rep. Dino Melaye and Sen. Mohammed Ohiare were among dignitaries at the event.
