Members of the Grassroot Frontiers of the African Democratic Congress (GFADC) in Kogi state has lampooned the APC led government of Kogi state for insinuating that Hon. Abiodun Faleke and other members of the party were imposed on the party.
The group noted that the APC was already jittery over the massive acceptability and popularity of the party across the three Senatorial districts of the state stressing that the APC should be ready to vacate the Lord Lugard House come 2019 governorship election.
In a press conference held in Lokoja, Friday, President of the group, Barr. Atekojo Samson Usman said some elements who did not mean well for the state might have made themselves willing tools for the APC led government to use against the party.

He said that the imposition allegations against a sitting House member and Comrade Daniel Isah who emerged as an interim Chairman of the party in Kogi was a figment of their imagination adding that the process passed through due process which was in tandem with the party’s constitution.
According to Usman; “those people making the complaints might have something of no values off their sleeves. The emergence of Comrade Daniel Isah did not only bolstered the party’s acceptability across the state, but sent jitters down the spines of Yahaya Bello’s administration.
“Those who wanted to destabilise ADC were unawares of the degree of hardship and frustration the APC led government in the state has brought on the people as nobody would emerge from the blues to salvage the state other than Kogites themselves.
“Surprisingly, those being used by the state governor against ADC remains the last option of a failed government, happily, this antics is clear to all of us as we approach 2019 governorship election.
“We know that the ruling APC in Kogi is jittery. How can some people complain that Hon. Faleke was imposed on the party by the National Secretariat,” he queried.
Usman further said that the Kogi ADC grassroot frontiers was seeing the imposition allegations as symptomatic of things to come in 2019, adding that the party cannot afford to lose in wrestling power from APC in the forthcoming general election.
He called on the electorates to unite against the current administration, saying that APC’s days have been numbered.
The group hinted that it has commence massive mobilization of the people across the state into the party ahead of general election, noting that the collective interest of changing government of the day was superior to individual’s interest.
He said that Kogi ADC would consolidate on the wisdom of putting the state leadership together by the National Secretariat, assuring that local government and ward Executive Committees will soon be inaugurated.
