In a show of unity and strength, Kogi State Government has acknowledged the vast array of top media personalities in the state ahead of the 29th edition of Nigeria Media Merit Awards (NMMA) holding in the state.
A statement issued by the Coordinator, Local Organising Committee (LOC), Dr. Ronke Bello, said the state government will partner the top media gurus of Kogi descent as it prepares to host the NMMA.
The 29th Edition of Africa’s biggest awards, the Nigeria Media Merit Awards (NMMA) is coming to Kogi State for the first time. The programme will start on 28th and run till 31st October 2021.
The host Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and other top personalities will grace the event.
Notable among the media personalities are: Isiaq Ajibola, former M.D. Daily Trust Newspapers; Simon Kolawole, founder and publisher of The Cable; Dr. Tom Adaba, veteran broadcaster and former DG NBC/NTA; Hajiya Zainab Suleiman Okino, Editor-in-Chief, Blueprint Newspaper. Kogi state government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the hosting of the 29th edition of the Nigeria Media Merit Award (NMMA) with the organisers of the awards in Lokoja last month.
