Member, Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Victor Omofaiye has called on the people of the state to strive for unity and peaceful co-existence.
In a statement to commemorate the 27th anniversary of the creation of Kogi State, Omofaiye urged citizens to embrace love.
“I celebrate Kogi State’s 27 years of existence, for the gift of life, divine blessings and the grace to go higher and be better as a state.
“What God has done is creating a background in which our potentials in togetherness would be placed to garnish that which God has done in Kogi state and in our life as a whole.
“We must dream about better Kogi and to bring about the true Kogi of our dreams.
“It is important that we co-exist peacefully, both the old and the young, irrespective of our ethnic difference in Kogi state. We must see and understand the development which true peace can bring about both in Kogi state and in our nation.
“Love for one another is an antidote for whatsoever problem we face in our society. It must begin from our individual houses and families,” he said.
The lawmaker congratulated Governor Yahaya Bello for his passion and unifying work in Kogi state, especially in the  security sector.
