Asuku was premised on a holistic appraisal and assessments of his track records in both public and private sector.

Comrade Abdulrasaq pointed out that Pharm Asuku has been a bridge builder, a unifier & a detribalized Nigerian who would foster unity among all ethnic groups and religious affiliations among others.

He alluded that his contributions in ensuring peace and stability, education development, health care concerns, human capital development , and women inclusiveness in governance; which are the cardinal focus points of Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration is the key ingredients that convinced the leadership of ITAN to align with his aspiration in the interest of common man in Kogi.

The state chairman added that in such a period of global inflation, the state needs a visionary leader that would consolidate the achievements of GYB in the interest of our generation and generation not yet born.
