Unknown gunmen, on Sunday afternoon, invaded Iruvucheba community in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State and abducted the owner of Azico Pharmacy.
Eye witness accounts revealed that suspected kidnappers, numbering about 10, stormed the Pharmacy and abducted its Managing Director, simply identified as Pharmacist Abdulazeez.
The bewildered eye witness said Abdulazeez was whisked to an unknown destination with ease and unchallenged.
While residents scampered for safety, some youths in the community tried to repel the gunmen but two of them sustained gunshot injuries.
One of the wounded youths, Habeeb Saeed Anda, died as a result of gunshot injuries.
When contacted on Wednesday, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Police Command in the state, DSP William Aya, promised to contact the Divisional Police Officer for Okene Local Government Area and get back to newsmen.
