Kogi State Government has reiterated its commitment to effective intra-city bus services to ameliorate the suffering of commuters within the state capital.
The Special Adviser on Transport to Governor Idris Wada, Dr. Aliyu Abubakar gave the assurance in a chat with The Graphic in his office, Lokoja
Dr. Abubakar who expressed satisfaction with the quality of service being rendered by the staff of the transport company, urged them to keep up the tempo so as to sustain the cordial relationship with the members of the public.
He commended the management of the company for allocating a vehicle to ply Ganaja-Barracks routes directly as demanded by commuters but urged commuters from Zango-daji to exercise patience, adding that their similar request would be considered.
The Special Adviser noted with satisfaction that commuters have registered their appreciations for the quality of service enjoyed while plying Ganaja-Barracks-Natako routes, adding that such attitude of gratitude would provoke the government to do more.
He charged those commuters who are not privileged to have the mass transit buses plying their routes yet to exercise patience, stressing that there would be room for expansion of the scheme as time goes on.
