Current Kogi State Commissioner for Budget, Mr. Kehinde Oloruntoba has been directed to take over the administration of Ministry of Agriculture sequel to the resignation of erstwhile Commissioner, Dr Tim Nda-Diche.
This directive was issued after yesterday’s Kogi State Executive Council meeting under the chairmanship of Governor Yahaya Bello.
Mr. Oloruntoba will be in charge of the ministry pending the time the Governor appoints a replacement for Diche.
Kehinde Oloruntoba who’s currently the Commissioner for Budget and Planning will now have to officiate over his extant ministry and also fill in the lacuna created by Dr Tim in the ministry of Agriculture.
While addressing the directors of the ministry of agric immediately after the executive meeting yesterday, he solicited their collaborative efforts to achieve the goals of the ministry as enshrined in the Governor’s blueprint.
“Agriculture is the hope of Nigeria’s economy thus, the ministry of Agriculture is pivotal in the new direction map of the state government”, he said.
