Driven by its mandate to support to the growth and development of Small and Medium Enterprises across the state, the Kogi Enterprise Development Agency (KEDA) has commenced a 3 day virtual consultative forum.
According to Hon. Rekiya Sani Onaivo, MD/CEO of the Kogi Enterprise Development Agency the forum themed Innovative Strategies for Wealth Creation will bring key actors, beneficiaries and cross sector stakeholders to discuss challenges impeding enterprise development and opportunities for wealth creation.
She further noted that the forum which kicked off on Tuesday, 15th December provides a platform for the masses to engage with their senatorial representatives.

The Managing Director noted that in the course of the forum, each senator will explore opportunities for wealth creation peculiar to their senatorial districts. This, she said will serve as an avenue for constituents to leverage on identified opportunities for wealth creation in their localities.
In his address, the Executive Governor of the State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello who was ably represented by the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja noted that the Kogi State Enterprise Development Agency was created in line with the new direction agenda of the present administration to create an enabling environment for micro, small and medium enterprises in the state to thrive.
The Deputy Governor noted that the establishment of the agency will serve the purpose of harnessing the potential of women and youths, creating opportunities for job creation through enterprise development.
In their panel session, the speakers Comr. Retson A, the Director of the Nigeria Farmers Group/ Cooperative Society and Mr. Obatunde Obadapo of the Bank of Agriculture spoke extensively on the topic, Agricultural Revolution; how farmers and businesses can harness opportunities in the agricultural value chain.
Also in attendance at the panel session tagged Kogi through the lens; exploring opportunities for wealth creation across the senatorial districts was Senator Smart Adeyemi, Senator Representing Kogi West.
