The President General of Kabba Development Union ( KDU), Barr Kabiru Fadile has commended the organisers Okun Development Initiative for the bold steps taken in organizing the second two- day summit in Kabba, headquarters of Okun land.
This was contained in a press statement jointly signed by KDU President General, Barr Kabiru Fadile and the Public Relations Officer, Aka Adebayo and released to newsmen.
According to the statement, Kabiru Fadile said the timing of the summit and the resolutions reached especially the one harping on the unity of Okun people as well as the issue of insecurity raised are appropriate.
Fadile who said the fact that the entire Okun people could come together to brainstorm on some germane issues that have constituted teething problem to them, should be commended.
He also expressed joy that the present KDU team under his leadership has shown interest in returning to Okun Development Association, saying that no man can work in isolation.
He stressed the need for cooperation and unity of purpose if an organisation or society desires to record progress.
The President General also praised the leadership of Okun Development Association for paying homage to the Obaro of Kabba, HRM Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi.
He described the visit to the palace in which he and members of his team were also present as a good step in the right direction, saying KDU could not be expected to pull out of an Association it plays host to as landlord in view of the fact that ODA secretariat is in Kabba.
