Residents and stakeholders in Egbe have continued to express admiration for the developmental strides attributed to Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, with observers noting that his interventions are setting a benchmark across Okunland and the wider Kogi West Senatorial District.
Reflecting on his experience when he attended the 2025 Egbe Mekun Day Celebrations as a Special Guest, Professor Tunde Olusunle described the scale of projects facilitated by the lawmaker as “remarkable and inspiring.”
According to him, a personal tour of key projects in the community revealed tangible evidence of the senator’s commitment to grassroots development. Among the projects he highlighted were a fully equipped Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre at Titcombe College, a purpose-built Forward Operating Base (FOB) to strengthen local security architecture, and a modern palace for the Elegbe of Egbe.

Olusunle further noted that beyond infrastructure, Senator Karimi has invested in human capital development through scholarship schemes initiated two academic sessions ago, alongside facilitating employment opportunities for numerous youths within and outside the community.
He described the interventions as a reflection of “a leader deeply committed to the upliftment of his people,” adding that the people of Egbe are fortunate to benefit from such representation.
The academic called for unity and sustained support for the senator, urging stakeholders in Egbe and across Kogi West to avoid divisive tendencies that could undermine ongoing development efforts.
He emphasized that collective backing remains crucial for continued progress, cautioning against political distractions and external influences that may hinder the district’s advancement.
Olusunle concluded by encouraging residents to close ranks and work together in safeguarding and advancing the gains recorded, stressing that unity remains the strongest tool for sustainable development.
