Kabba: New Obadofin Elect Pays Homage to Late Predecessor, Seeks Blessings From Oba of Odolu

In a heartwarming display of tradition and gratitude, the newly elected Obadofin of Oweland, Chief Julius Arokoyo, paid a thank-you visit to the palace of the late Obadofin, late Oba Michael Oladele Yusuf in Kabba metropolis.

During the weekly Onko meeting, he met with title chiefs and stakeholders, demonstrating his respect for his predecessor and Owe traditional institution.

The Obadofin elect Chief Julius Arokoyo, expressed his deepest appreciations for their support and cooperation before, during and after his selection, acknowledging the crucial role they played in his emergence.

He also visited the palace of the Oba of Odolu, the head of the ruling group that nominated him, seeking the Oba’s blessing and wisdom as he prepares to assume his new role.

At both meetings, prayers were offered for wisdom, long life, and the betterment of the community. The gatherings emphasized that the announcement of Chief Julius Arokoyo as the Ololu Obadofin will enhance peace, tranquility, and unity among the people, stressing that the three ruling groups endorsed his nomination.

The gatherings also felicitated with and congratulated Governor Ododo Ahmed Usman on his electoral victory at the appellate court, affirming the earlier judgment of the Kogi State Governorship Election Tribunal. They praised Governor Ododo for his impactful leadership skills, urging other contending parties to close ranks with the current government to move the state forward. They assured Governor Ododo of their cooperation and support, praying for God’s guidance, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and good health to pilot the state to greater heights.

The visit presented an opportunity for the Obadofin elect to appeal to the government for swift final approval and announcement of his position. This visit has cemented the Obadofin elect’s commitment to tradition, unity, and progress, poised to usher in a new era of peace, oneness, prosperity, and harmony in Oweland.
