An Open Letter To The Respected People Of Bunu Kingdom Over Otunba Ibikunle Omolade’s Ambition
I’m pleased to write this very open letter to the good people of Bunu kingdom in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State over Otunba
Ibikunle Omolade’s aspiration ahead of Saturday’s Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Kabba-Bunu / Ijumu Federal Constituency House of
Representatives primaries election.
It has become necessary to note that, Kabba-Bunu / Ijumu Federal Constituency House of Representatives seat has been earlier agreed upon to be a rotational thing between the two local government areas that constituted the said federal constituency.
In the year 1999 when the said arrangement started, Ijumu citizens was asked to produced a member to represent the said federal constituency
in the lower chamber where Hon. Samuel Abiodun Ojo from Egbeda-Egga, Ijumu-Oke axis emerged then, thereafter, Hon. Durosinni Meseko from Odo-Ape, Bunu axis in Kabba-Bunu LGA took over in 2003, Hon. Daniel Dino Melaye from Ayetoro Gbede, Gbede axis in Ijumu LGA later emerged in 2007 under the same arrangement and in the 2011, Hon. Tajudeen Ayo Yusuf from Kabba town, Kabba axis in Kabba-Bunu LGA emerged.
Base on the existing rotation and/or agreement, Ijumu people have resolved on a consensus candidate in person of Otunba Ibikunle Omolade
from Iyara after a keen contest during ” Ijumu-Aarin Shadow Primary Election” with Prince Akin Ojumoro, Dr. Johnson Juwon Orugun and Hon. Segun Ojo to make thing more easier for us.
I think, we need to respect the said principle of rotation so as to enhance sense of belonging, equity, fairness, unity, justice and progress.
I’m hereby called on Bunu people to support Ijumu consensus candidate i.e Otunba Ibikunle Omolade and set to take over in 2019
