The House of Representatives flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general elections  for Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal constituency, Hon. Wemi Jones, has an infectious smile that appears easy and natural on his face, bearing the innocence of a child that is probably one of the secrets of his success in life and business.
He is from a humble background. Hail from Okebukun – Bunu inKabba/ Bunu local government area of Kogi State, and he had to struggle to acquire basic education, talk much of attend high institution. Little was expected of him to achieve success in life but fate had superior plans. From the day he obtained his Higher National Diploma from Kwara State Polytechnic till date, he has been on a steady rise. Presently, he is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria ( FCIB) and has undoubtedly been on a winning streak in the journey of life and business.
Wemi Jones first caught the bug of entrepreneurship as a youth corps member and later went to spend several years on other jobs mostly in banking industry where he rose to the position of Ag. MD/CEO of the last financial service company he worked for. It was only a matter of time before he embraced his true passion in entrepreneurship. At the end of December 2011, Wemi was fully  prepared to take the quantum leap into  the business  of events management. His events company; Dates and Events Ltd is second to none and has attracted both local and foreign patronages and recommendations. What he actually started as a side hustle has now risen to become one of the top five events management companies in Nigeria.
Wemi Jones has since been elected Chairman and President of Events Management Association of Nigeria and Tourism Business Owners Association in Nigeria. Despite his great success so far, he remains down to earth, living a simple life not commonly associated with successful people in this clime, rather he has embraced the philosophy  of impacting, empowering and adding value to humanity, especially Okun people.
To capture  the comparative  advantage of an agragrian society,  he ventured  into intensive  farming,  with at least about fifty people working in his farm. Ibietan farm, which he stands as the CEO, is an integrated farming  system  that’s located at Ayede – Bunu in Kogi State and it covers about twenty acres of farm land.
Obviously, if he can achieve  this with his merger resources, he will achieve much more if supported and voted in to be the next member of House of Representatives for Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency.
Let us give Wemi Jones all the maximum support to win!
