The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Kobere Jimoh, has dismissed as false and malicious reports alleging that Dr. Femi Olubiyo defected from the APC to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a rejoinder issued on Wednesday, the APC Chairman described the claim as “misleading, unfounded, and a deliberate attempt to misinform the public,” stressing that Dr. Olubiyo has never been a member of the party at any level.
“To set the record straight, Dr. Femi Olubiyo was never a member of the APC. He has never been identified within our ward structures, nor is he registered in any of our official party records,” the statement read.

The Chairman further noted that Dr. Olubiyo has always been aligned with the PDP, adding that he holds little or no political influence within Kabba/Bunu and cannot be presented as a defector from a party he never belonged to.
According to the APC leadership, it is also on record that Dr. Olubiyo recently began circulating campaign posters bearing the name, logo, and insignia of the APC, despite having no affiliation with the party and never participating in any of its official activities.
“This act is not only misleading but an attempt to falsely associate with a structured and credible political platform for personal gain,” the Chairman stated.
Hon. Jimoh emphasized that the APC in Kabba/Bunu remains a united, disciplined, and well-organized political family, firmly rooted in grassroots engagement and genuine political processes.
“We wish to state in strong terms that Kabba/Bunu APC is not for sale, neither are we available for any form of propaganda or emergency political buyover. We are a localized, grassroots-oriented political organization committed to serious and progressive political business,” he added.
Reaffirming the party’s stability and growth, the Chairman assured members and supporters that the APC in the Local Government remains intact, cohesive, and steadily expanding its base.
He urged party faithful, residents of Kabba/Bunu, and the general public to remain vigilant and not be misled by what he described as “political jobbers and unserious individuals” seeking relevance through false narratives.
The APC Chairman concluded by reiterating the party’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and sustained grassroots development.
