At her maiden meeting on Friday at the state capital Lokoja, the Forum of State Political Appointees from Kabba district has sent special congratulations to Governor Usman Ododo over his one year anniversary celebration, stating that his administration has redefined governance and made the people proud .
The appointees who met under the leadership of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Energy and Chairman of Forum of Special Advisers, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi said the Governor’s commitment to uplift state of infrastructure and general development in Kabba has made them proud.
The appointees mentioned specifically the erosion control and road construction across the ancient city, construction of Faculty of Science, Male Hostel, Female Hostel and the internal campus roads and giant strides the community appreciates the Governor for within the space of one year.
The appointees further thanked the Governor for approval of 72,500 new minimum wage and other giant strides of the Governor in Kabba and all other parts of Kogi State.
The meeting identified for specific commendation, the former Governor Yahaya Bello for the solid foundation he laid that the state is riding on, they appreciate his foresight in the establishment of the Kogi State University, Kabba which has brought astronomical development into Oweland and all he has done to promote the wellbeing of the people , even out of office.
The appointees meeting which was well attended by stakeholders including the Member of the State Assembly Service Commission, Hon Alfred Bello, Senior Special Assistants to the Governor, Hon Funsho Olorunfemi, Hon Zakari Ejibunu, Hon Egbebi, Member kogi Christian Pilgrim Board, Hon Dare Hinmikaiye, other board and commissioners members, Local Government Special Assistants and several others in various categories, the leaders deliberated extensively on the performances of the APC led government at federal, state and LGA.
They also extended appreciation and commendations to all key office holders who have made one impact or the other in the community, encouraging them to keep the flag flying for the good of Kabba in particular and the entire state in general.
The press release made available after the meeting also reads that Senator Sunday Karimi for the sponsorship of the bill for the anticipated Federal University of Agriculture, Kabba, tens of borehole projects, solar street lights and others.
Arc Salman Idris was commended for sponsorship of bill for creation of Federal University of Agriculture, Kabba which is still ongoing, various empowerment schemes embarked upon, construction of boreholes, provisions of transformers and the recently flagged off Korede road, Kabba.
Commander Jerry Omodara for his commitment to security of our area and his undeniable coordination of security personnel in their efforts to keep the community and the entire state safe.
They commended Hon Wemi Jones for his commitment in the astronomical infrastructure revolution going on at the Kogi State University, Kabba
Also, they commended Hon James Abiodun Faleke, member representing Ikeja Federal constituency for his various projects within the Kabba city that have uplifted the well-being of our people such as various entrepreneurial and empowerment programs, roads constructions within the community, building of a community central palace and several other projects.
The meeting specifically congratulated the Kabba/Bunu LGA Chairman, Barr Zacheous Dare Michael, over his one hundred (100) days in office celebrated recently, the meeting commended him for steering leadership at Local government level for the peace, progress and development of the community, emphasizing that he has shown quality leadership and has made the people of Oweland proud so far.
The meeting also seek workable collaboration with all government and non governmental apparatus embarking on one developmental strides or the other, stating that the aim of the forum is still push for good governance and draw more development to Kabba for the good of all.
Earlier in his welcome address, Leader of the group and Special Adviser to the Governor on Energy, who is the highest state appointee from the community, commended all appointees for their commitment to development of Oweland and success of the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
He emphasized that the meeting has become imperative and regularly required to hold to chart development and facilitate more government presence and provide leadership at that level for the peace, unity and progress of government, the party, APC and the entire community at large.
