Ojuju Agbadufu Igala, the apex youths organisation in Igala land, has congratulated His Royal Majesty, Idakwo Michael Ameh Oboni II and the entire Igala nation on the verdict of the Federal High Court, Lokoja over the ownership of Ajaokuta, Lokoja, Koton Karfi, Abaji, Kwali and its environs.
In a letter signed by the President in Council of Ojuju Agbadufu Igala, Ukwenya Christoper, the group described the judgement as a beautiful beginning for the good things that are yet to come to the Igala kingdom under the leadership as the father of Igala and the entire Kogi State.
The President said this is a reassurance that the Igala history will be rewritten under the reign of the present Ata Igala according to the existing myth of the Igala people.
He urged the Igala people home and abroad to see this victory as an opportunity to come together as one indivisible people so that they can focus on how to develop Igala land, which is yearning for development.
He said this judgement is not targeted on spiting any persons or groups who have lived on this land over the years without recourse to the original owner, but it sets the historical records straight and corrects the distortions of history and the wrong identity that has been created in the minds of the people over the years and urge all the ethnic groups in Kogi State to see all as one because of historical affinity.
