Kogi branch of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) has organized a session of special prayers for the governor and growth of the state.
The delegation of clergies and members of the association had joined Governor Idris Wada in Government House, Lokoja recently to breakfast in continuation of the Ramadan season.
Speaking at event, Chairman of the state branch of JNI, Ambassador Usman Bello appealed for sustained prayers for the governor, Kogi people and progress of the state.
He also commended the governor for establishing the state interreligious council to promote harmony among followers of the two major religions as well as the support extended to the various security agencies to tackle kidnapping and other crimes in the society.
In his admonition, a cleric, Mallam Salihu Adaji enjoined Muslims to embrace the virtue of inviting people to break Ramadan fast, stressing that it was the easiest and quickest key to paradise.
Responding, Governor Idris Wada thanked the group for the visit and words of encouragement, just as he urged them to continue to work for the peace and progress of the state.

The governor who described leadership as challenging in the country, Appealed for sustained prayers for those at the helm of affairs in the various tiers of government.
Special prayers were then held for the government and state by the Chief Imam of Ankpa and state Chairman Council of Ulama, Sheik Salman Adam as well as the Imam of Federal University Lokoja, Khalid Danjuma amongst others.
