A former member, House of Representatives, Hon. Sunday Karimi has declared that changing Kogi State Governor with another governorship candidate cannot absolve All Progressives Congress (APC) of Gov. Yayaya Bello’s maladministration in the state.
Hon Karimi who represented Yagba federal constituency in the lower chamber of the National Assembly made this known during an during a recent party function in Lokoja.
Karimi said any attempt by APC to abandon Gov. Yahaya Bello at this stage after the colossal damage done to the people and state, will not be enough to appease the people. He insisted that Kogi people can no longer be deceived.
According to Hon. Karimi, APC and Governor Yahaya Bello are inseparable, adding that following the governor’s lack lustre performance that made Kogi the poverty headquarters of Nigeria, Kogites he are waiting to chase the APC government out of the state.
The former lawmaker noted with disdain that contemplating change of APC candidate after causing so much harm on Kogi people is a fluke planned to deceive the people.
Kogi people, according to Hon. Karimi, can no longer be fooled. He pointed out that the people are now more than ever before resolute in their believe to resist autocratic rule.
The former lawmaker asserts that Kogi people can no longer take the sufferings that has become unbearable any longer.
“Thousand of Kogi people have lost their lives because of APC misrule and Gov Bello’s ineptitude. Enough is enough, Gov. Bello must go,” he said.
It would be recalled that some chieftains of the APC had been championing the idea of dropping the governor for a fresh candidate at the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
