The Kogi State Governor Capt Idris Wada has disclosed that what the nation needs to fight the insurgency challenge facing the nation currently is maximum input in form of collaboration from Chief Executives of the various States of the federation with various levels and tiers of government.
The Governor gave the charge at a dinner to send off Commissioner of Police Saidu Madawaki from the State after serving the Nigerian Police Force for thirty five years.
The State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi, who represented the Governor disclosed that his boss is leading the charge to ensuring that the state is peaceful from activities of criminals.
Capt Wada disclosed that curbing crime and criminality requires that all hands must be on deck, called on citizens to appreciate the important role played by the men of the Nigerian Police Force.
The Governor lauded the Police Force for been in the vanguard and the forefront for fighting insurgency in the country, said their role in maintaining peace and stability cannot be over- emphasized.
Capt Wada praised the role played by the men of the Kogi State Police Command which he noted has made citizens of the state to sleep with their two eyes closed, assured them of the state government support to the force to enable it discharge its responsibilities.

Capt Wada described the out going CP as a super cop, who stood out and discharged his duties creditably well while in the state, congratulated him for a successful career and wished him a peaceful, fruitful and rewarding retirement life.
In his remarks, CP Saidu Madawaki, called on the State Government not to relent in its commitment to ensuring peace and stability through the collaboration with the Police Force.
Mr Madawaki, lauded the support the Kogi State Police Command enjoyed from the present administration in the state under his leadership which he noted ensured that peace, security, and stability prevailed.
The out gone commissioner of police urged serving police officers to exercise confidence and intelligent as prerequisite for been good cop, thanked God for allowing him successfully serve the country since 1979 as a Cadet Inspector without blemish.
