The Atai Aidoko Ali (AAA) Continuity Group has called on the electorate in Kogi East senatorial district to close ranks to ensure victory for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.
In a congratulatory message to Senator Atai Aidoko whose name was listed as PDP senatorial candidate by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the group stated that Aidoko’s emergence will bring an end to the speculations that PDP has no senatorial candidate in Kogi East.
Idris Yakubu, the spokesperson of the group, advised the people of the area not to be deceived by self seeking politicians who were bent on inflicting poverty and hardship on the people.
He urged the people to drop all the differences arising from the selection and nomination process that had generated minor upheavals within the rank and file of members of the party.
Idris urged the people of Igala nation to take their destinies in their own hands and avoid been deceived by politicians whose acts have affected the people negatively.
He noted that the re-election of Senator Atai Aidoko Ali will move the area forward in terms of political development and emancipation of the masses.
He described Aidoko as the hub of legislative advancement that will bring a lot of human and infrastructural development to the people of kogi east.
“It will be laughable to concede to the APC candidate and other anointed aspirants of the APC led government in Kogi state with the experience in the last three years. Our people will be worst for it,” he said.
He urged the people to resist the temptation of financial and material inducement that had brought them to where they are today, stating that the APC and other contenders have no good intentions for the people.
“A critical look into all the candidates vying for the senate reveals that virtually all of them are off springs of the ruling APC that has mismanaged the resources of the state. We can not risk their representation at the higher level.
“A big disaster awaits us if we fail to vote for the candidates of the PDP in the general elections.”
