As Nigeria celebrates its 55th independence anniversary, the Kogi State Deputy Governor, has called on Nigerians to continue to have faith in the nation.
Awoniyi in a press statement, tasked nigerians on national unity, peace and progress that would enable the building of a virile nation.
Awoniyi congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the nations 55th independence anniversary,
said, Nigeria has remained dominant in the committee of Nations notwithstanding some drawbacks.
According to Awoniyi, the founding fathers of Nigeria had a vision to run a vibrant, independent and viable country, which Nigeria has become, said successive managers of the Nigerian State might not have consolidated adequately on the vision, but assured that our short comings in the economic and political spheres notwithstanding, it is a credit of our nation that we have remained united, peaceful and stable.
Awoniyi promised that the years ahead no doubt hold very great and bright prospects, congratulated the state governor, Capt Idris Wada and all the good people of Kogi State for their abiding faith in the nation Nigeria and for witnessing another independence day celebration.
