Chief Medical Director of Reference Hospital Okene, Professor Solomon Avidime, has congratulated Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo on his inauguration as the 5th Executive Governor of Kogi State.
Ododo was sworn in as Governor by the Chief Judge of Kogi State, Justice Josiah Majebi at a colourful ceremony on Saturday following his victory at the polls held on November 11, 2023.
In a statement he personally signed, Prof Avidime described today’s inauguration of Governor Ododo as a positive development and a demonstration of the collective wishes of the people of Kogi state for the entrenchment of democracy in the state.
Prof Avidime said he is convinced that Kogi state would witness a higher level of development under the new administration.
He expressed confidence that Governor Ododo will build on the enduring legacies of his predecessor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and unite the people of Kogi state.
“Today is significant in so many ways. Today represents the affirmation of our collective desire to build a state where everyone have a sense of belonging. It reflects the true aspirations of the people of our dear state to make progress and continue on the trajectory of positive development.
“While we say a big congratulations to the Governor, the biggest congratulation goes to the people of Kogi state who are the true heroes of our democracy.
“Now, the task of taking Kogi state to a higher level of development and prosperity has begun. We wish Governor Ododo an impactful tenure.
“We pray that God almighty shall provide our beloved Govenor with the full wisdom and needed knowledge to pilot the affairs of Kogi State successfully,” he said.
Prof Avidime assured Governor Ododo of the hospital management’s unflinching support.
