Ladies and Gentlemen, esteemed guests, members of the press, and the wonderful people of Ajaokuta Local Government,
Today marks a significant milestone in the political history of our beloved Ajaokuta Local Government. It is with deep gratitude and humility that I stand before you as your newly elected Executive Chairman.
I extend my sincere appreciation to the citizens of Ajaokuta for their strong support and trust in giving us the mandate to serve through a free, fair and credible electioneering process.
I am grateful to the leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress Political party for providing me with a platform to pursue my aspirations, and for the invaluable support that has led me to this position of responsibility and service.
I would like to recognize the outstanding leadership of our Chief servant leader, the Executive Governor, His Excellency Ahmed Usman Ododo. Your dedication to the progress and development of Kogi State serves as a source of inspiration to all of us, and we are privileged to serve under your impartial leadership. We are thankful for the security measures put in place during the electoral process, which ensured a peaceful, transparent, and credible election free from discord and hostility. A stream must not forget its source, therefore i want to also appreciate the former Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Gov Yahaya Bello who is a known emancipator and a guiding light in the state.
I also want to express my gratitude to Hon Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, the Ajaokuta Federal Lawmaker and the Apex leader of the All Progressives Congress in Ajaokuta LGA. Thank you for your willingness to mentor and guide us; under your tutelage, we will continue to thrive. Your contributions to the progress of Ajaokuta LGA are invaluable, and we look forward to collaborating with your esteemed office for the benefit of our people. Thank you for being a pathfinder.
To my elected councillors, it is both an honor and a duty to serve alongside each of you. Together, we have the opportunity to translate our vision for Ajaokuta into reality, and I am eager to embark on this journey with you all as we are set to serve our people.
As your Executive Chairman, my administration will be guided by the principles of transparency, accountability, inclusivity, and an open-door policy where every Ajaokuta citizen can reach me.
We shall implement people oriented policies and also amplify Kogi State Government Policies that mean well for the development of our community without any delay.
Our administration shall have utmost respect for rule of law and zero tolerance for any breach of laid down laws guiding our land.
We shall make sure Ajaokuta becomes infertile land to harbour criminals, we shall continue to intensify effort in wiping off criminals and make sure our people go to sleep with their two eyes closed.
I firmly believe that effective governance stems from the cooperation of dedicated leaders, engagement with citizens, and collaboration to drive a shared vision for a brighter future. While challenges may arise, I am confident that together, we can surmount any obstacles in our path.
We will listen to the concerns of our people, assess the critical issues in our wards, and take decisive actions to ensure that every voice is heard and represented.
On this note, your first assignment is to visit your respective wards, compile comprehensive reports on the needs of your constituents, identify projects requiring rehabilitation, draft reports, and submit them directly to my office. We will promptly address and implement these initiatives as soon as funds become available at our disposal. We are here to work and justify the mandate given to us therfore I charge u all to return to your various ward immediately and start work
I am particularly dedicated to complement the ongoing efforts in key areas such as security, infrastructure development, education, and healthcare initiated by the Ajaokuta Federal Lawmaker Hon Sanni Egidi’s Abdulraheem and the Kogi State Government under the leadership of Gov Ahmed Usman Ododo
The people of Ajaokuta will experience improvements in the area of security, quality primary healthcare, clean water, reliable electricity, access to essential services, and opportunities for economic advancement.
My administration will collaborate closely with relevant authorities, the office of the Federal Lawmaker, the Kogi State House of Assembly, traditional rulers, community leaders, religious leaders and citizens to achieve these objectives, thereby fostering a prosperous Ajaokuta for all.
To the people of Ajaokuta Local Government, I can assure you all that we shall do everything possible to fulfil our campaign promises and justify the mandate Given to us.
Let this inauguration symbolize hope, unity, and progress for our local government. I urge each of you to return to your wards and engage with your constituents, connect with your people, bring us feedback and ensure open door policy
