Hon Kingsley Temitope Ogga and Adaji John Udale has been described as impostors masquerading as state chairman and secretary of African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Bashiru Abdul Mohammed, the Special Adviser on Public Communications to Hon Leke Abejide, a two-term member representing Yagba/East/West/Mopamuro Federal Constituency of Kogi State at the National Assembly, made this known in a statement on Friday.

Responding to a reported petition by Kingsley Temitope Ogga and Adaji John Udale calling on National Assembly to dclare Abejide’s seat vacant, Bashiru said it was not only misleading but ignorantly drafted and maliciously transmitted.

He explained that the leadership of the African Democratic Party (ADC) had long expelled Mr Kingsley Temitope Ogga through his ward Oga-Omi-Odo Ara and likewise Mr Adaji.

“Their expulsion was further ratified by their respective Local Government Areas and affirmed by both the State and National Working Committee (NWC). Hence, they lack the jurisdictional authority and locus standi to effect.

Bashiru urged the duo to get themselves properly educated and abreast with the constitutional stipulations to declaring a lawmaker’s seat vacant, entrenched in sections 68 for National Assembly and 109 for State Houses of Assembly respectively.

“The ADC who flagrantly failed to respect the constitution of the party at the national level, following Nwosu’s resignation, cannot reference to the superior constitution of Nigeria at the state level,” Bashiru added.

While issuing a stern warning to Ogga and Adaji, Bashiru highlighted the implications for continued impersonation and counting on the versatility and knowledge of the Speaker, House of Representatives – Rt Hon Abbas Tajudeen to trash the petition upon receipt.
