The administrative head of Ijumu local government council, Kogi state, has dissolved the LGA internal revenue committee.
In a statement signed by Adeyemi Raji, principal information officer, Ijumu LGA, the tractor hiring committee has also been dissolved.
The dissolution was made in a management meeting held on Monday at DLG’s office in Iyara.
According to the statement, the Head of Ijumu Local Government Administration, Mr Joseph Oluwafemi Asaju, dissolved the committees following the expiration of the immediate past administration.
Asaju directed all heads of department to take charge of revenue in their respective departments.
He warned non-members of local government revenue staff to desist from parading themselves as revenue officers of the LGA.
He equally directed revenue officer of the LGA to immediately report to the treasurer for further directives.
Mr Asaju urged traditional rulers and community leaders to ensure that they monitor their domain by reporting any person collecting revenue illegally to law enforcement agents for prompt action.
He also directed drivers attached to the LGA ambulance to make judicious use of it with the laid down guidelines.
Mr Asaju admonished the heads of department to be punctual and regular at work and encourage regular attendance to work of their staff.
