The Transition Caretaker Chairman Ijumu local government council, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna, has commended Governor Usman Ododo for empowering 1,050 hunters with security gadgets and safety materials to boost community policing and to complement the efforts of security agencies.
The Governor had on Thursday inaugurated the hunters in Lokoja with a charge to deal decisively with criminals and ensure the protection of lives and property across the state.
Reacting to the development, the Ijumu Caretaker Chairman applauded the security-friendly Governor for taking practical steps to secure the people.
He said Governor Ododo has shown passion and commitment for the safety of lives and property of the people.
“Your Excellency, I know that you are on track, you have done very well, you have kept your people safe and we deeply appreciate those efforts that you have made.
“Furthermore, it’s encouraging to note that Governor Ododo has been actively engaging with security forces by fostering collaboration and seeking seeking solution, The Governor is demonstrating his commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens,” he said.
