Ijumu Cultural Day 2025 Celebration Holds Nov 8

The National Executive Council of Ijumu Development Union has announced that the Ijumu Cultural Day 2025 celebration will be held on 8th November, 2025.

Also, a symposium will hold on Friday 7th November where sons and daughters of Ijumu are expected to gather and brainstorm on issues that will promote peace, progress and development of the area.

A statement issued by the publicity sub-committee for the event said a planning committee comprising esteemed individuals saddled with the responsibility of showcasing the rich cultural heritage and unity of Ijumu Kingdom has been constituted.

The leadership of the committee includes Hon. Olumoko Funsho serving as Director General, Alhaji Badaki Aliyu as Chairman of the Central Committee and Kunle Olutimehin as Secretary of the Central Committee.

Various subcommittees have been constituted to ensure the success of Ijumu Cultural Festival 2025.

The Finance Sub-Committee chaired by Dr. Jeminiwa Emanuel includes Comrade Oguntebi Olusegun, Princess Bolanle Sanni, Dr. Otitolaiye Dare, and Halimat Abdulsalam as members.

The Publicity Subcommittee is led by Mr. Korede Emmanuel, with Benson Fakolade, Yusuf Adeyanju Yisau, and Hon. Obaditan Hamed serving as members.

The Venue Subcommittee is headed by Mr. Osanaiye Dare comprises Ven. Olorundare P.R.O, Chief Otitoju Samuel, Oke Daniel, Elder Olufe Saiye, and Komolafe Joseph. Prince Akanmode chairs the Contact and Mobilisation Committee which includes Dr. Fashagba Paul, Amb. Oladele John Nihi, Alhaji Shuaib Ipinmisho, Prof. J. J. Orugun, and Chief Oshafunmi Isreal.

Comrade Ogungbamiwa Sesan leads the Security Subcommittee with members Jethro Babatola, Hon. Henry Ibiyeye, Mr. Orija, Mr. Segun Aiyeoribe, and Rt. ASP Timothy Obahunlewo. The Entertainment Subcommittee chaired by Hon. Paul Adebayo, includes Chief Wale Oye, Foluke Ajetunmobi, Charity Ojo, Abidemi Oni, and Oluwole Victoria.

Bro. O. J. Dare chairs the Award Subcommittee with Ahmed-Ade Fatai, Hon. (Pastor) Segun Ojo, Hon. Solomon Oyewole, Hon. (Chief) Cornelius Olowo, and Chief Pedro Durotiwon as members. The Culture Subcommittee is led by Ms. Jumoke Olumosule, with Ms. Kemi Olawunmi, Mrs. Ajimoh, Femi Ayeni, and Mr. Abiodun Medaiyedu Rufus serving as members. Dr. Kunle Aledare heads the Health Subcommittee alongside Hajia Rofiat Suleiman as member.

The union extended an invitation to all Ijumu indigenes, stakeholders and well-wishers to participate in this celebration of heritage, unity and community spirit.
