Dear Leaders and good people of Ijumu Local Government Area, Kogi State, recent Investigations have revealed the our Council Chairman, Alhaji Taofiq Isa is about to sell both movable and unmovable properties of our beloved Local Government.
These properties include; cars, tractors, graders e.t.c which he did not purchase in his more than 6 years at the helm of affairs of Ijumu Local Government.
Very unfortunate is the fact that the Chairman and his Management Staff such as the Director of Local Government and HOD Works among the rest are set to sell of the properties to group of Hausas who have already inspected them.
We must not fold our hands and watch this Impunity, irresponsible acts and display of nonchalant behavior see the light of the day.
Our Leaders must rise up against this ugly and prodigal son-like attitude as this will not speak well of our future especially that of our children.
How on earth will a reasonable leader sell a property bought by his predecessors who’s performance are outstanding and more than the wasted 6yrs of Alhaji Taofiq Isa as Administrator, SSA Security and now LG Chairman.
Also, those who imposed the Chairman on us should call him to order as the plan to sell the properties of our great Local Government is not only unacceptable, it is criminal and condemnable.
Ijumu Leaders, Arise. This act must not see the light of the day.
