The campaigns, consultations and meetings that i ran in my quest to represent the good people of Ijumu was based on my strength of character, name and supporters across Ijumu and beyond. It was never based on any Godfather but solely the people who had chosen to see the light I’m bringing into the polity. I never commissioned anyone to talk to any Godfather on my behalf. I didn’t beg anybody to beg any bigwig to be elected rather I chose to focus on the membership of my erstwhile party for maximum support.
I believed whatever they did to jeopardize that ambition was successful because God wanted it that way. The same measure melted against me is also brewing against Dr. Orugun because some people have sold their conscience to money.
For the records, I didn’t write or send any message soliciting for financial assistance from anybody. I did all of that based on the resources God has given me. My right to support whoever I want to support depends absolute on me and my team. I will not condone henceforth any irritant fellow to come to my wall to choose for me.
People reasonably choose who they want to follow. I don’t need any agreement or financial inducement to support my Candidates. Where were these people dying for PDP when we worked tirelessly to ensure her victory in 2015. You can not force me or any other to rebuild what they scattered in 2015. I remembered when one of the candidates of the PDP in 2019 called us bastards for supporting PDP.
I am one the few politicians who have a second address aside politics. I’m contented with what God has given me. In all of these, I sincerely thank my supporters and my think tanks for the trust repose on me.
I will forever be grateful to those who stood solidly by us while we were working on this ambition.
