Igalamela/Odolu Council Chairman Dissolves Revenue Team, to Rejig Operations

Caretaker Chairman, Igalamela-Odolu local government area of Kogi state, Barr. Cosmas Atabor has dissolved the revenue collection team in the council.

He stated that the new revenue law passed by Kogi State House of Assembly will be the guiding document for revenue handlers going forward.

Atabor made this known when met with administrative and finance heads of the council along with revenue officers in the local government in Ajaka on Tuesday.

The meeting reviewed the current revenue administration in the local government and how to rejig its operation in the best interest of the council and the state at large.

The treasurer of the local council, Mr. Samson Adejo expressed gratitude to the chairman for calling such a meeting in a timely manner and described the chairman as highly purposeful.

While giving a remark, the Revenue Officer of the council, Comrade Tahirudeen Abdullahi commended the chairman and described his few days in office as a great start.

He assured of the total cooperation of the finance and revenue staff of the council to ensure the smooth implementation of the new revenue guiding law.

In attendance were the Chief of Staff to the chairman, Hon. Zekeri Adama, the Personal Assistant, Hon. Andrew Ocheja and all revenue handlers of the local government as at the time.
