In recognition of his ‘outstanding and exemplary leadership qualities’, the Chief Administrator of Igalamela/Odolu local government area, Hon. Joseph Baron Okwoli has been conferred with the exemplary leadership award (STAR).
He was honoured alongside four other Local Government Administrators in the state for their prudent management of LG funds and developmental initiatives.
Baron was praised for his massive redevelopment of Igalamela/Odolu Hotel and the building of an ultra-modern secretariat in Ajaka. He was also praised for his contributions in the education sector, particularly, the payment of JAMB fees and school fees of students in the local government, as well as his rehabilitation of rural roads ahead of yuletide.
Speaking after the ceremony, Hon. Baron Okwoli commended the organisers for recognising his efforts towards placing Igalamela/Odolu on the map of developed local governments in the country.
He also stressed the need for Kogites to continue to support the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello to enable it deliver much needed development for the benefit of the masses. He also reaffirmed his ‘resolute commitment’ to serve the people of the local government.
