The high flying Adusuf FA came from behind to defeat Dynamic FC by three goals to two in a keenly contested five goal thriller, to lift the maiden edition of the Kiss of Hope Foundation Cup.
The match was played before a capacity crowd at the football pitch of Ajaka Community Secondary School.
The cup was hosted by the famous Comrade Onuche Moses Husseini of the Federal Inland Revenue Service and was witnessed by dignitaries from far and near.
Husseini, in his opening speech, stated that the unifying power of football and his desire to showcase the immense talents in Ajaka youths spurred him into sponsoring the competition.
Adusuf FA opened the scoring in the early stages of the first half but the goal was leveled before halftime after some good team work by the players of Dynamic FC.
Some sloppy defending saw Adusuf FA go behind early in the second half as Dynamic FC scored their second goal. However, Adusuf FA rallied to equalise and capitalised on some complacency in the midfield of Dynamic to score a third goal.
The sponsor of the cup, Comrade Moses Onuche Husseini was hailed by several invited guests and spectators for investing his time and resources in grassroots football.
