Members of the famous, non-political but development focused youths association, Igalamela Youth Renaissance Group (IYRG), have re-elected their highly rated pioneer president, Comrade Alih Nasir Ademu for a second consecutive term.
In a public acceptance statement, Alih commended the electoral commission for the peaceful conduct.
He commended all those who contested in the election for their commitments to the group.
“The commission has by the successful conduct of the 2020 general elections, demonstrated that Nigeria, Kogi State and Igalamela/Odolu in particular can become the society of our dreams.
“I wish to assure all aspirants who could not secure victory at the polls, that they are recognized as stakeholders of the association and would be consulted for critical decisions in the life time of this administration. The elections returned us all as invaluable assets to IYRG with no victor no vanquished.
“I owe it a duty to express profound appreciation to the patrons and matrons of this noble group for always giving attention to the group whenever the need arise,” he said.
He appealed to all the newly elected officials to continue to foster unity and commitment to the core objectives of the group.
Others elected in their June 13 elections include: Suleiman M. Akebe (Vice President), Sunday Attah (General Secretary), Salami James (Assistant General Secretary), Isah Bello (Treasurer) and Yakubu Kebiru (PRO)
Others are: Ameh Enema Peace (PRO II), Usman A Ismaila (Director of Socials/Organising Secretary), Oguche Enejoh (Financial Secretary) and Ibrahim Abdul (Assistant Financial Secretary).
The group equally elected Daniel Larei Kadiri (Auditor I), Ibrahim Cosmas O. (Auditor II) Ismaila Oseni (Director of Welfare), Faruna Ameh (Provost Marshall) and Usman Agah Daniel (Provost Marshall II).
An official statement indicates that the newly elected officials would be inaugurated at a later date.
